I recently upgraded my monitors with a pair of 27″ ASUS and needed a suitable mount for them. Since I use a motorized, stand-up desk having something solid and sturdy was paramount. After doing some research I ended up buying an Atdec Visidec VFS-DH stand. This is a freestanding, dual monitor desk stand.
The first thing one notices when taking the component pieces out of the shipping carton is how well this freestanding monitor stand has been designed and constructed. There are a total of nine pieces and it is very easy to assemble.
The base is constructed of steel with a footprint of 16.25 inches (412.7mm) x 12 inches (304.8mm). It is very robust and provides a solid foundation for the stand.

The two monitor support arms are fastened to the main column by a simple, but solid clamp.
The centre column and monitor support arms are constructed of die cast aluminium, and have a brushed metal finish. This provides a good gripping surface for the mounting clamps. There is a cable management slot on the rear of these components. Since my cables are fairly short I didn’t bother using the cable management slots.
The centre column is 1.6 inches (40.62mm) in diameter and 18.6 inches (472mm) in height. The monitor support bracket can be positioned as needed on the centre pole. I have mine about 1 inch (25.4mm) from the top of the centre pole. An Allen bolt tool is supplied.
The monitors are attached to the stand on solid mounting brackets that accommodate standard VESA mounting plates. Two of these VESA plates are supplied with the Atdec Visidec VFS-DH stand.
The monitor mounting brackets are attached to the support arms with a pair of very solid clamps. These are easily adjusted with a lever, allowing the clamps to slide along the support arms.
Once the monitors have been positioned the clamps are easily locked using the lever.
The supplied VESA mounting plates will accommodate 3 inch x 3 inch (75mm x 75mm) and 4 inch x 4 inch (100mm x 100mm) monitor mounting patterns. Monitors can be rotated from landscape to portrait as needed. The monitor mounting brackets allow for up to 20-degrees of adjustment from a vertical plane. Once the monitors are positioned as desired the mounting brackets have three Allen bolts that can be tightened using a second supplied tool.
Once assembled with monitors mounted, the Atdec Visidec VFS-DH freestanding dual horizontal stand provides excellent support and a very clean, professional appearance.
